Back in the Bywater this summer! Our Spring show was a huge hit and last year's June show was great so this oughta be a good one!

We're really trying to pull out all the stops on this one. Introducing an early bird fee of $5 if you want to come in an hour early (9AM instead of 10AM). We'll have live vinyl-slingin' DJs and a few other twists! Stay tuned!

It's been an exciting couple of months for New Orleans record stores, with Euclid and Louisiana Music Factory moving to new, nicer spots and Captain's Vinyl getting a real storefront. Now the westbank is getting a Record Store.

The original site was flooded today (Friday) so we're moving to a different spot on campus.

Thanks for understanding, the important thing is that the show is STILL ON!

Back to Tulane this time for another outdoor show (don't worry, still plenty of Bywater shows to come!)

The strange phenomenon that is Record Store Day is back this Black Friday with all sorts of exclusive records sent to indie record stores. The official list of releases is here but there's no guarantee which store will have what. You can always try calling but most won't let you reserve one. In the grand tradition of Black Friday, you gotta wait in a big ol' line.

Last Record Raid was a huge success so I suppose we oughta go right back to the bywater!

Record Raid heads back downtown with a new location! We've headed over to the Old Ironworks in the Bywater at 612 Piety Street.

This is the summer show for our quarterly record fairs and we expect to have over 20 vendors selling LPs, 45s, CDs and more from storefronts and private collectors all along the gulf coast. It's like a big, awesome record store that only pops up 4 times a year with stock you've never seen before. Plenty of local music, old garage 45s, new punk LPs, mysterious oddity records -- that record that's been eluding you may be somewhere in these bins.

I love the idea of a Record Store Day but there really weren't many items in the Record Store Day roster that excited me. So I like to take the opportunity to check on my record store friends and see how the madness is going for them. But if this is really a special day, then I should do it in a special way. So I set out to do the Record Store GRAND TOUR: hit all New Orleans record stores in one day.
